Precisely Right Synchronized Skating Team

 

The Precisely Right Synchronized Skating Team represents The Skating Club of Morris. Our home rink is the Mennen Sports Arena in Morristown, NJ. This year, our team skated 3 divisions - Preliminary, Open-Juvenile and Intermediate. Our season highlights include a win for Preliminary at the US Eastern Sectionals and Intermediate's 7th place finish in the US National Championship.

The Skating Club of Morris is the proud host of the 2009 Eastern Synchronized Championships. The event will be held in late January and will attract over 2000 skaters along with their coaches, friends and families.

It was a great end to the season. All three teams skated away with medals. Intermediate was first, Preliminary was second and Open Juvenile was third. Open-Jay's medal was earned through hard work over the entire season. They are clearly the most improved PR team.

U.S. National Championships 2008- Intermediate
The Precisely Right Intermediate Team finished in 7th place at US Nationals. The competition was held at the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, RI., The event featured the top teams in the country. This is the second consecutive trip to Nationals for Intermediate.

Connecticut Synchronized Skating Classic 2008 - Preliminary and Open Juvenile
It was another gold medal for the Preliminary Team and a strong outing for "Open - Jay". Preliminary skated very well this season. They won medals in all of their competitions and continue to improve. "Open Jay" has shown the most promise. Their new synchro skaters are learning the skills of becoming a team. They are on track for great skates in the near future.

Eastern Sectional Championships 2008- All Teams - View Pictures
The Precisely Right teams once again made their mark at sectionals. This year Preliminary finished 1st (3rd consecutive Easterns title for a PR team), Intermediate qualified for US Nationals finishing 4th, and Open Juvenile finished 9th in qualifying. With over 2000 skaters, the event was a whirlwind of activity. PR members had a 7 page team schedule that included multiple practices at 4 different rinks as well as off ice run-throughs and competition events.

Cape Cod 2007- All Teams
All the teams traveled to Massachusetts to compete at the Cape Cod Synchronized Classic. Silver medals were won by both the Preliminary and Intermediate teams with Open Juvenile finishing 7th. It was the first competition for both Prelim and Open-Jay. Intermediate had skated the week before in Michigan.

Dr Porter 2007- Intermediate
Winter storms and travel problems couldn't keep the Dr Porter competition from being the largest Synchro Event in history - 2500 figure skaters can't be wrong. Teams from all across the country were there. Precisely Right finished 7th in the "A" division. It was a satisfying start to the season for the team.
